Ideas to Action is dedicated to creating resilient, sustainable, and holistic cyber ecosystems by improving the practicality and accessibility of cyber programs.

Ideas to Action fulfills this mission by staying committed to the following core values:

• Simplicity - Keep It Simple. Einstein said it best - if we can't explain what we're doing to a six-year-old, we don't know what we're doing.
• Integration - No need to reinvent the wheel. Integration is the key to true innovation.
• Impact - If there isn't a way to know what we're doing, then what are we doing?

Cybersecurity is by nature a complicated field. However, it has become increasingly complex from the explosion of ongoing threats and the overhwleming number of resources to address those threats.

That complexity has led to a varying level of paralysis in building effective cyber programs, coupled with bandwidth shortages to make execution almost impossible.

Ideas to Action was started to cut through the noise and complexity, build bandwidth and make things happen.

Mattie Gullixson, founder and CEO, draws on her background from within the Governor's Office under Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper working with 20+ state agencies developing strategic plans; elections and county-level government management at El Paso County; and challenging policy development at the City of Colorado Springs Mayor's Office. Her work in cyber began at the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) where she lead the foundation of the Colorado Cyber Resource Center as part of the Colorado Whole of State initiative.

Mattie also worked with the Colorado Information Analysis Center in building up cyber threat intelligence capacity at the State, and has worked with leading, global digital transofrmation companies.
